If you’re searching for a new activity to do on the Big Island, High Fire Hawai’i offers a full range of creative outlets for everyone! Located in Hilo, High Fire Hawai’i is a wonderful place to go for art classes in Hawai’i, and they also have an amazing Big Island art gallery on site. This Hawai’i gallery provides space for a host of local Big Island artists to show case their paintings, print, jewelry, ceramics and Hawaii glass art. Whether you are a Big Island resident or a visitor, High Fire Hawai’i is an incredible place to check out if you’re looking to experience something new to do in Hilo.

Art classes and workshops at High Fire Hawai’i are always rotating, so this is a great community to experience if you want to start creating! Throughout the Summer, High Fire Hawai’i offers a wonderful art program for kids that combines art instruction for clay molding, drawing and painting. They also provide an after school clay program for kids ages 9 and up. For ages 16 and up, guests can enjoy the art of ceramics with beginning and intermediate wheel throwing classes and introduction to pottery. Art workshops at High Fire in Hilo are a great way for new artists and experienced artists to learn something new and refine their skills. Just a few of their workshops include adult ceramics and pottery classes, silk painting, Raku, pit firing, and lauhala weaving. They also offer open studio hours for the dedicated High Fire community artists.
