Elections Commission Chair Deadline Extended

A deadline extension has been announced by the State of Hawai’i Office of Elections for the position of Commission Chair.

The original deadline for the applications was May 13. An extension has been granted until Thursday, July 2.

The new Commission Chair, as part of the Elections Commission, will join the group in holding public hearings, investigating and holding hearings to receive evidence of violations and complaints, employing a chief election officer, and advising the chief election officer on matters that relate to elections.

Members of the Elections Commission are not compensated.
