UV index at 11 (“extreme” exposure level)
Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with scattered showers for windward areas and isolated showers for leeward spots. Northeast winds are forecasted around 15 mph. Low temperatures from 68° to 73° are expected.
A trough lingering near the Big Island will maintain lighter winds with widespread sea breezes over the eastern half of the state. Abundant moisture around the state will provide a rather cloudy and showery weather pattern at times. Trade winds should increase a bit across the state during the weekend, but continued above normal moisture will keep showers active especially across windward and mauka areas.
