Today
Today we expect high temperatures from 80° to 86°. Winds will be variable up to 15 mph. Mostly sunny skies are expected in the morning with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers in the afternoon. The UHSOEST vog model shows volcanic haze for much of the Big Island in the afternoon (see model above). Windward sides are expected to be mostly cloudy with scattered showers.

Tonight
Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with scattered showers for windward areas. Leeward spots will be cloudy to start and clearing is expected as the night goes on. Variable winds are forecasted up to 15 mph. Low temperatures from 69° to 75° are expected.
Looking Ahead
A weak trade wind pattern is expected to set up, but will still be light enough for localized land and sea breezes through the rest of the week. Winds are forecasted to be even lighter over the eastern half of the state, especially for the Big Island. Increasing moisture will lead to an increasingly cloudy and showery weather pattern, especially during the afternoons and early evenings.
