Beginning on Friday, May 29 and lasting through Wednesday, June 3, the County of Hawai’i Department of Parks and Recreation will close the Kona Community Aquatic Center. Officials say the closure is necessary to perform repair and maintenance work.
On Thursday, June 4, the swimming pool will resume normal operating hours at 6:15 a.m. for public and recreational swimming
Work being conducted during the closure includes the replacement of restroom partitions, replacement of plumbing fixtures, installation of a new circulation pump, and other maintenance tasks.
