Office of Planning Seeks Public Comment
Public comments are being sought on the newly released Draft Report on the State Land Use System Review by the State of Hawai’i Office of Planning.
In the report, the state land use system is examined with focus on the State Land Use Commission’s district boundary amendment process. It looks at how the current system is working, its strengths and weaknesses, and both where and how in the process greater efficiencies and effectiveness might be achieved.
A series of Task Force and public meetings helped the Office of Planning put together a a list of possible solutions, including possible fixes to the current system and a redesign of the entire land system.
Members of the public can view the Draft Report by visiting the Office of Planning’s website.
