KapohoKine Adventures offers one of many exciting zip line adventure tours on the Big Island. Rain or shine, prepare to strap yourself into a harness and glide through an adrenaline-pumping ride of beautiful scenery.
Your adventure begins with a fully narrated off-road trip to the zip line course at the Honoli‘i Mountain Outpost, located just north of KapohoKine’s Hilo store headquarters. Visitors arrive at Hale Halawai, or “meeting place,” where they can take in beautiful panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. From here, it’s all downhill!
Eight different zip lines take adventurers through a thrilling ride over lush rainforest, river, and roaring waterfalls. The 1,000-foot descent spans between elevated platforms, suspension bridges, and suspended staircases.
Mid-way, zip liners can relax and enjoy the waterfall view at Hale Ho‘onanea, or “house of peace,” where light snacks and beverages are served. Visitors also have the option of having a deli-style lunch delivered at this pit-stop.
