University of Hawai’i at Hilo senior Dalen Yamauchi was awarded a share of the PacWest Conference’s Men’s Golfer of the Week award, based on rounds played between March 19-25.
Yamauchi shared the award with Dixie State University junior Kenny You.
During the So Cal Intercollegiate, held at the Carleton Oaks Golf Club in Santee, CA, Yamauchi finished in a tie for the lead at two-over par, sharing the top spot with Adam Stone of Cal State East Bay.
An opening round 75 kept Yamauchi at a distance to start the tourney, but a second-round 72 put him in a tie for third place entering the final round. His final round 71 placed him in at the top at the conclusion of the tournament.

As a team, UH-Hilo finished fourth, 21 strokes behind Cal State Monterey Bay.
