Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Surf heights expected to be shoulder-head high at well exposed breaks with strongest swell in the afternoon.
Kona side: Fading swell expected to bring waist-shoulder high surf at well exposed breaks, with sets up to head high in the morning at standouts.
South: Sets up to waist-shoulder height at better exposed breaks. Standout spots see sets running in the head high range.
Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
