Auto Body Hawai’i’s 2015 Essay Contest

Auto Body Hawai’i is holding its fourth annual essay contest for high school seniors living in West Hawai’i and teachers of all grade levels.

Graduating seniors from West Hawai’i will have the opportunity to demonstrate their writing abilities for the chance to win $500.

In addition to $500, winning teachers will also receive a gift certificate for a Super Wash Detailing Service.

2015’s essay theme is: “If you had the opportunity to bring any person – past or present, fictional, or nonfictional — to your hometown, who would you bring and why? Tell us what you would share with that person.”

Essays must be between 650-750 words and only one submission will be accepted per student. Once submitted, the essays cannot be resubmitted for any reason.

Qualified schools include Kealakehe School, Hualalai Academy, Makua Lani School, Parker School, Konawaena School, Hawai’i Preparatory Academy, West Hawai’i Explorations Academy, Holualoa Elementary, Kanu O Ka’aina Charter School, Kahakai Elementary, Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino, Waikoloa Elementary, Honoka’a School, Waimea Elementary, and Kohala School.

Contest deadline is April 30.
