Light and variable winds are expected today up to 10 mph with a mostly sunny morning. As the land heats up, sea breezes are expected to develop which will lead to afternoon cloud cover and possible isolated showers. Hazy skies are expected for much of the Big Island (see UHSOEST vog model above). High temperatures should fall in the range of 79° to 84°.

Mostly clear skies are expected. Leeward spots may be cloudy to start but are expected to clear as the land breeze takes hold. Variable winds up to 15 mph are expected. Low temperatures are forecasted from 66° to 71° degrees.

Looking Ahead
The relatively dry land and sea breeze weather pattern will continue across the islands for the work week. Vog and haze is expected to be widespread on the island of Hawaii. A front is expected to pass north of the state Monday night followed by another front later this week that will weaken as it reaches Kauai.
