The Hawai’i Police Department is seeking public help in providing information about a burglary at the Hawaiian Shores Community Association’s warehouse in August.

An unknown person removed a yellow Durostar Generator model DS4000S and a Stihl 14-inch chainsaw on Aug. 22. The generator was on loan during the Hurricane Iselle emergency, but it belonged to the Hawai’i County Civil Defense Agency.

Anyone who may have witnessed the burglary or who has information about the suspects are encouraged to call the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311 or contact Officer Daniel Murray at 965-2716.

Individuals who wish to remain anonymous can call the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
