The Hawai’i Police Department has arrested an inmate who left the Hale Nani Furlough Center Wednesday and failed to return.

The State Department of Public Safety says Jordan Kaneshiro was arrested Sunday morning and placed back into custody at the Hawai’i Community Correctional Center. Kaneshiro has been serving time for terroristic threatening and abuse of a family member.

Kaneshiro, a community custody inmate, had left the furlough center Nov. 26 in the morning to go on job interviews. He was supposed to return at 2 p.m., but did not show up.

Kaneshiro’s next parole hearing is set for January. An added charge of Escape 2 is expected.
