University of Hawai’i at Hilo senior Callie Aberle earned her first career PacWest Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week award for games played between Oct. 27 – Nov. 2.

UH-Hilo (8-11 overall, 7-9 PWC) played only one match during the week, a four-set victory Saturday over winless Notre Dame de Namur. In the win, Aberle led her squad with 17 kills and a season-high 23 digs.

Aberle, in her second year with the Vulcans, has played some of her best volleyball to date. She has seven double-doubles in her last ten matches. She has also moved into tenth place in the conference with 3.18 kills per set.

UH-Hilo closes out the season with four consecutive road matches, starting Tuesday in St. George, UT against Dixie State.
