A 23-year-old Hāwī woman and her boyfriend have been arrested and charged in connection to a burglary in Kapa’au.

Police say the incident happened during the afternoon on Oct. 5 at a home on Lehu’ula Circle. Authorities say that a number of items, including electronics, purses, and wallets, were taken from the home. The items were valued at $3,000.

On Friday, Roberta Uilani Ramos was arrested on a $20,000 bench warrant for violating terms of her probation in a different theft and burglary case. An investigation eventually linked her to the Lehu’ula Circle break-in.

The investigation also concluded that Ramos’ boyfriend, Kelvin Keoni Kaneshiro, was a part of the incident. He was arrested Friday evening and taken to the Kona cellblock.
