Lava Flow Update For Monday, Sept.22

Hawai’i County officials report the June 27 lava flow has not advanced since Sunday.
According to Hawai’i County Civil Defense’s latest update, there was very little flow activity Monday.
Officials also report Saturday’s brush fire has been contained and there was no burning as of Monday.
A small break out flow occurred upslope from the leading edge of the flow moving in a northeast direction.

There will be a community lava update meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pahoa High School cafeteria.
