Starting Monday, there will be alternating single lane closures from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Volcano Road in both directions between mile markers 8.6 and 13.4 from Keaau to Mountain View.

Closures will continue through next Friday for pavement reconstruction.

Drivers are to follow the 20-mph speed limit while traveling on the Umauma Bridge. Vehicles that exceed statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits. Maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.

There will also be alternating single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road Route 19 in both directions between mile markers 27.9 and 29 near the Kaawalii Gulch from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily for roadway improvements.
