UHH’s Pasek Named PWC Women’s Soccer Co-Player of the Week

University of Hawai`i at Hilo senior Kristine Pasek was named PacWest Conference Co-Player of the Week for games played between Sept. 8-14.

Pasek scored a pair of goals for UH-Hilo in a pair of road games. On Tuesday, Pasek scored her first goal of the 2014 season in a 3-1 victory at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Four days later, Pasek scored the tying goal against Hawai`i Pacific University in the 1-1 draw.

Pasek leads the team with two goals and four points. The Vulcans are 2-1-1 on the season.

Pasek shared the weekly award with Hawai`i Pacific University senior Ashley Ubongan. The Lihue, Kauai native scored two goals last week to push her conference-leading goal total to three.

UH-Hilo will return to the road for a four-game California road trip, starting on Sept. 23. The Vulcans open the trip with a non-conference match at Cal State East Bay.
