Hamakua Mushroom Farm to Host ‘Business After Hours’

The Hawai`i Island Chamber of Commerce will hold a “Business After Hours” event at the Hamakua Mushroom Farm on Thursday, Oct. 2.

A tour of the site will start at 6:00 p.m., featuring Chef Casey Halpern of Cafe Pesto, who will offer tastings which feature Hamakua Mushrooms. Mehana Brewing Company will also have offerings available to participants.

The Chamber of Commerce is also providing a private shuttle service to take people to and from the farm, which is located in Laupahoehoe at 36-221 Manowaiopae Homestead Road. The shuttle will leave Hilo at 5:00 p.m. and arrive back at approximately 5:15 p.m.

The cost to attend is $10 for Hawai`i Island Chamber members and $15 for non-members. The fee to take advantage of the shuttle service is $10.
