Continued Road Work Could Snarl Hilo Traffic

Ponahawai Street in Hilo will remain closed to traffic through Friday, Aug. 1, 1, 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day between Kapi‘olani Street to Ululani Street, said a County Department of Public Works release.
At the end of the road work each day, the road reopens and street parking restrictions are lifted until 7:30 a.m. the following morning, the release said.
Motorists should drive with caution and plan their trips accordingly.
