Police are looking for three local males who allegedly stole computer equipment Saturday from a Hawaiian Beaches home.

Officers responding to the home on the 15-600 block of Kahakai Boulevard were told by a 36-year-old male occupant that while in his home, an acquaintance and two other local males had taken his computer hard drive and a mobile phone.

When asked for the items to be returned, he was struck numerous times in the face.

The victim managed to get away from the suspects and call police. He was taken to Hilo Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

Anyone with information on the case, including the identities of the suspects, is asked to contact Det. Wendall Carter at 961-2378 or [email protected] or the police department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
