Blizzard Named To Mauna Kea Golf Sales Post

Mauna Kea Resort has announced the appointment of Wallene Blizzard as golf membership sales manager.

Blizzard will be responsible for acquiring new members for Mauna Kea Golf Course and Hapuna Golf Course as well as coordinating golf events, including member outings and charity tournaments. She will also serve an active role in community outreach and marketing efforts for both golf courses.

“We’re excited to welcome Wallene to the Mauna Kea Resort ohana during this exciting time as we prepare to celebrate Mauna Kea Golf Course’s 50th anniversary later this year,” said Josh Silliman, Mauna Kea Resort’s director of golf. “We’re confident that her extensive background in hospitality and membership sales will continue to position our resort as a top destination for golf.”

Most recently, Blizzard served as a travel director for various destination management companies in Hawaii. Her 25 years of hospitality experience includes positions at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Swissotel Chicago, The Westin O’Hare Hotel, The Westin Michigan Avenue, and the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Virginia. She also served as membership sales manager at Choose Chicago, formerly known as The Convention & Tourism Bureau of Chicago, for five years.

Blizzard is originally from Chicago, Ill., and moved to Hawaii in 2013 with her husband and 9-year-old daughter.
