Workshop on Over-the-Phone Customer Service

A workshop next month is designed to help businesses looking to improve their rapport with customers over the telephone.

“How to Deliver Exceptional Customer Service Over the Phone” will be held on Friday, July 18, at Kuakini Tower in Kailua-Kona. Tuition costs $150.

The workshop scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. is being offered by the College of Continuing Education and Community Service at the University of Hawai`i at Hilo.

“The informational course will cover specific telephone communication skills, provide tips when dealing with difficult customers, and talk about making every call count, among other customer service techniques and topics,” the center said in a press release.

Financial assistance via Employment and Training Funds are available. Deadline to apply for ETF is Thursday, July 3.
