Water in Mountain View Subject of Group’s May Meeting

The head of the county Department of Water Supply will be the featured speaker at this month’s meeting of the Mountain View Village Planning Committee.

Quirino Antonio Jr. on Thursday will meet with the group on Thursday to discuss the department’s water system plans for upper Puna.

The planning group invites those interested in water availability along Highway 11 in the Mountain View area to attend the meeting.

One of the topics currently being discussed is possible commercial expansion in Mountain View Village and surrounding areas.

The group meets at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the Mountain View School cafeteria.
