The pump at the well as Hawaiian Ocean View Estates is back in operation, but restrictions will be in place for a while longer.

A Department of Water Supply spokeswoman said the community will continue to be able to obtain water at the public spigots, but is still being asked to reserve water for potable uses until operations are back to normal.

She said commercial water haulers will not be able to access a standpipe at the HOVE facility until Monday.

DWS spokeswoman Kanani Aton said today that the issue seems to be electrical.

Aton said the standpipe used by commercial water haulers is closed until the Ka`u facility’s pump is operational again.
