A 19-year-old Hilo man was charged Wednesday with stealing two Hawaii County vehicles.

The first incident involved a 2007 Ford Explorer allegedly stolen Monday from a county parking lot on Pauahi Street.

The vehicle was located later Monday on Ipuka Street, resulting in the arrest of Reynold K. Kalima.

Further investigation indicated a 2008 Ford Explorer had been stolen from another county agency on Kekuanaoa Street and then returned. Police said that vehicle had a broken window.

Kalima was charged with two counts of car theft and single counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and criminal property damage.

His bail was set at $8,000.
