Scientists from Hawaiian Volcano Observatory will present three encore talks about lava flows from Mauna Loa that had major impacts on the west side of the Big Island.

The presentations will be offered Tuesday, March 4, at the Kilauea Visitor Center at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park; Tuesday, Marcy 11, at the Maka`eo Pavilion at the old Kona Airport State Park in Kailua-Kona; and Wednesday, April 2, at the Ocean View Community Center at 92-8924 Leilani Circle at Hawaiian Ocean View Estates in Ka`u.

The talk in Volcano will start at 7 p.m., the other two will begin at 6 p.m.

The virtual road trip of flows flanking Highways 11 and 190 drew a large crowd during its first presentation last month at the NELHA Gateway Visitor Center near Kailua-Kona.
