Kona police are investigating injuries to a 2-month-old Holualoa boy as a possible abuse case.

Police were notified Wednesday by Child Welfare Services in Honolulu that the infant had been taken by a family member to Kona Community Hospital the night before and then flown Wednesday morning to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu.

The case is being investigated by detectives from the Juvenile Aid Section in West Hawaii.
