The county Department of Public Works will close a bridge in Honoka`a next week for renovations.

Work to be done on the Kukuiaonanipahu Stream Bridge on Ohia Street includes replacement of its wooden decking, stringers, sill plates and railings.

The closure will begin Monday, Feb. 24. Repairs are expected to be completed on or before Friday, Feb. 28, weather permitting.

The bridge provides access from Mamalahoa Highway to homes on Ohia, Lokelani, Pikake and other streets.

Public works spokeswoman Noelani Whittington said updates on this and other county road projects are available on the department’s website.
