Wanted Waimea Man Arrested, Charged in Burglary

A Waimea man sought by police on a bench warrant and for questioning in a theft case has been arrested and charged.

Brandon Paulino-Pawai was arrested Friday, Jan. 17, and charged on the contempt warrant.

On Saturday, he was charged with theft and attempted theft in for allegedly taking jewelry during an August burglary in Waimea and then attempting to sell it to a Waikoloa merchant.

Paulino-Pawai was released after posting bail in the amount of $4,000.
