Police Community Meeting Set for Jan. 23 in Honokaʻa
The Hawaii Police Department will hold a meeting in Honokaʻa later this month to allow the public an opportunity to meet Police Chief Harry Kubojiri and other department commanders and to discuss police-related concerns.
The meeting is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the North Hawaii Education and Research Center in Honokaʻa.
The Hamakua event continues the program of community meetings, which are rotated throughout the eight police districts on the Big Island.
To aid police commanders in focusing on specific community concerns, they ask that participation in this meeting be limited to persons who live or work in the Hamakua District.
Those interested in participating but unable to attend may e-mail their concerns or comments to copsysop@hawaiipolice.com.
More information is available from Capt. Andrew Burian, commander of the North Hilo and Hamakua districts, at 775-7533.
