Kona Woman Charged With Felony in Shoplifting Case

A 29-year-old Captain Cook woman has been charged with felony theft in connection with a shoplifting incident in October.
Police said the woman and a man entered a store in Kainaliu on Oct. 29 and allegedly stole more than $1,000 worth of clothing.
Police were able to identify the suspects using the store’s video surveillance system.
Cassandra Lynn Ellis was arrested this past Sunday and charged the following day with second-degree theft.
Her bail was set at $10,000.
