A 22-year-old Kailua-Kona man has been charged with 18 offenses stemming from a rash of crimes allegedly committed in October and November.

Police said Tucker Henry Bontecou was arrested on Nov. 24 for allegedly stealing merchandise from a retail store in Keauhou and for two drug offenses.

Detectives later tied Bontecou to three home burglaries that occurred in Kailua-Kona between Oct. 7 and Nov. 6, which prompted the execution of a search warrant on Bontecou’s vehicle.

Last week he was charged with three counts of burglary, eight counts of theft, three counts of forgery and four drug offenses, including promotion of a dangerous drug.

Bontecou’s bail was set at $46,250.
