Pahoa Pair Charged With Burglarizing Puna Home

A man and woman from Pahoa have been charged with breaking into a Hawaiian Beaches home.

Police said an entry door and an air-conditioning unit were stolen in the burglary that occurred on Ono Street shortly before noon Tuesday.

An hour after the break-in, police arrested 19-year-old Nicole Kruse and 34-year-old Micah Lopez in Pahoa.

Both were charged today with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft. Lopez was also charged with violating parole.

Bail was set at $35,000 for Lopez and $7,000 for Kruse.
