Hawaii Island Veterans will stage the first annual East Hawaii Jazz and Blues Festival, featuring Na Hoku nominees Kahulanui and Keahi Conjugacion, this Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 6:30 p.m., at Nani Mau Gardens.

Elena Welch, LouAnn Gurney and other artists will also perform at the recently renovated Nani Mau Gardens at 421 Makalika St.

Emcees will be Skylark and Desiree Cruz, an accomplished jazz vocalist herself who will likely “cameo” a few songs, said Bob Williams, concert promoter.

There will be wine tasting, dessert stations and raffles, Williams said, and those attending will have full access to the Garden’s grounds during the event.
