The first event in the Big Island Celebrity Series at the Hilton Waikoloa Village features crooner Brian Evans, comedian/actor Tom Arnold, and a special introduction by film and television star William Shatner on Dec. 28.

The show will get under way in the Kamehameha Ballroom at 7:30 p.m.

Evens said in a release that the show will be “a night of laugh-out-loud stand-up comedy” by Arnold, who was writer and actor on the hit TV show “Roseanne,” Evans, who will also perform his latest hits including “I’m A Traveler,” and “At Fenway,” and Shatner.

Evans, also the concert’s promoter, founded the Maui Celebrity Series in 2009 and recently moved it to Kona.

General seating tickets for the Dec. 28 event are $95; VIP seating $125, and for $350 you can meet William Shatner before the show. Go to www.bigislandcelebrity.com.
