The first event in the Big Island Celebrity Series at the Hilton Waikoloa Village features crooner Brian Evans, comedian/actor Tom Arnold, and a special introduction by film and television star William Shatner on Dec. 28.

The show will get under way in the Kamehameha Ballroom at 7:30 p.m.

Evens said in a release that the show will be “a night of laugh-out-loud stand-up comedy” by Arnold, who was writer and actor on the hit TV show “Roseanne,” Evans, who will also perform his latest hits including “I’m A Traveler,” and “At Fenway,” and Shatner.

Evans, also the concert’s promoter, founded the Maui Celebrity Series in 2009 and recently moved it to Kona.
