Teenager Injured Crossing Highway 11 in Glenwood

Police said a pedestrian suffered non-life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Highway 11 in Glenwood this morning.
Cap. Samuel Jelsma of Puna police said the victim, a teenager, was transported to Hilo Medical Center.
Jelsma said no citations were issued.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. in front of Hirano Store, he said.
