A Big Island man is offering a reward for return of a lost and likely broken video camera which contains images of his daughter’s recent wedding.

Chuck Haifley told Big Island Now that the black Sony video camera was left on top of his car on Monday at about 4 p.m.

He believes that it fell off at the intersection of Kamehameha Avenue and Pauahi Street because that’s where he found pieces of it.

Although it’s clear that the camera was damaged by the fall, Haifley hopes its internal drive can be accessed to recover what he described as the “precious footage” of the wedding.

That’s why he’s offering a reward of $300 for its return.

“It was my daughter’s entire wedding on our land in Opihikao,” he said.

Haifley can be reached via his cell phone at 702-493-9292 or locally at 808-965-8379.
