Traffic Advisory: Military Convoys to Pohakuloa Beginning August 19

The US Army Garrison-Hawai`i has announced military convoys from Kawaihae Harbor to Pohakuloa Training Area will take place between August 19 and August 28.

Hawai`i Police Department officers will escort Oahu-based soldiers along Queen Kaahumanu Highway, Waikoloa Road, Mamalahoa Highway and Saddle Road between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the scheduled convoy dates.

Motorists are advised to be alert and drive with care.

The PTA Department of Army Police is coordinating the convoys, which are being undertaken in support of unit training.
