Narcotics Enforcement Division Conducting Fly-Over Missions in Puna

The Hawai`i State Narcotics Enforcement Division is currently conducting fly-over missions in the Puna area, according to the Hawai`i Police Department.

HPD confirmed to Big Island Now that the missions could involve operations in the Hawaiian Paradise Park area, and could last through Wednesday, Aug. 14.

Several readers had forwarded inquiries to Big Island Now staff asking about the presence of low-flying helicopters in HPP this afternoon.

Persons experiencing significant noise disturbances in their area can report concerns to the NEA by calling (808)-551-9984.
