An accident involving a vehicle in a US Marine Corps convoy reportedly caused delays for some motorists on Saddle Road this morning.
Sgt. Skyler Tooker, a spokesman for Marine Corps Base Hawaii, said a seven-ton truck went off the roadway about five miles west of the entrance to PTA.
No injuries were reported, Tooker said.
The convoy was headed west when the truck went off the road. The cause of the accident was not immediately available.
Contacted shortly after 11 a.m., Lt. Gary Souther of the South Kohala Police Station said that traffic was reported again moving normally on Saddle Road.
