Hilo Man Charged in July 4 Burglary in Puna

A 20-year-old Hilo man has been charged with burglary in connection with a break-in that occurred July 4 in the Puna subdivision of Nanawale Estates.
Police said Kainoa Santos was arrested Sunday and charged on Tuesday with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft.
His bail was set at $35,000.
Police said the burglary occurred on Oahu Road sometime between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m.
