UPDATE: Lineup Set for Weekend’s Hawaiian Music Festival

The East Hawaii Cultural Center will present the 24th annual Big Island Hawaiian Music Festival this weekend at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.

The event runs from noon to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Featured entertainers on Saturday, in order, are Randy Parker followed by Randy Lorenzo, Bruddah Waltah, Ben Kaili & Friends, Kris Fuchigami and John Cruz.

Sunday’s lineup will be Halau Ke `Olu Makani O Mauna Loa, Japan Tour Group  – Hoa Hele, Manny Boy Varize Jr., Ku O Koa and Kainani Kahaunaele. Wrapping up the festival will be Cyril Pahanui, Jeff Au Hoy and Peter Moon playing together followed by Kahulanui.

Admission costs $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Children 12 and under are admitted free.

Tickets are available at East Hawaii Cultural Center, Basically Books, Oshima Surf & Skate and CD Wizard ($1 surcharge there).
