Economist Paul Brewbaker Featured Speaker at Realtor’s Meeting
Economist Paul Brewbaker will be the featured speaker at the annual general meeting of the Hawaii Island Realtors on Thursday, July 18.
The meeting, which is sponsored by Homes and Land magazine, will be held in Waimea at the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Kuhio Hale. Registration starts at 11 a.m. and the program begins at 12 p.m.
Brewbaker, principal of TZ Economics, is the former chief economist for Bank of Hawaii.
“I know realtors are primarily focused on getting the deal done, and we’ll have plenty of new data to show how volumes and prices are evolving in the Big Island housing market recovery along with the bigger economic picture,” said Brewbaker in a released statement.
During the meeting, six HIR members will be recognized as Realtors Emeritus, including Bill Brilhante, Brilhante-Hawaii; Edith Crabb, Chris Brilhante Realty; Al Inoue, Inoue-Hawaii Realty Corp.; CJ Kimberly, CJ Kimberly Realtors; Tracy Lewis, Tracy Lewis Realtors; and Doris Smith, Smith Properties Inc.
Each of the six honorees has been a realtor for a cumulative period of 40 years.
Registration is $45 until Friday, July 5, and $55 thereafter. Lunch is included in the registration fee.
