The fourth long distance event of the Moku O Hawai`i Outrigger Canoe Racing season was held Saturday at Hilo Bay. Hui Wa`a O Waiakea served as the host.

The long distance portion of the schedule takes a hiatus for the next month while regatta season winds down over the next four weeks. The next long distance event will be the Uncle Red Kanuha races, hosted by Kai Opua Canoe Club on July 27 at Kailua Pier.

The regatta season resumes after a week’s hiatus at Hilo Bay Saturday. Keaukaha Canoe Club is the designated host for the fifth regatta event of the year.
