Laughter. Some of the best moments in life are those milk-out-of-the-nose, belly-shaking guffaws that seem to unburden the soul.

This Friday, treat yourself to watching comedic legend Frank De Lima live at the Palace Theater.

From 7 p.m., this portly Portagee will poke fun at braddah, sistah, aunty and uncle of all ethnicities. Expect monologues and musical numbers, laser accurate satire and parodies.

De Lima has over three decades of enlightening audiences and giving their laugh reflex a hearty smack. Thirteen comedy albums and 11 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards later, this seasoned entertainer still revels in the joys of making others happy.

Serious life transitions are tempered with levity; De Lima excels at brushing away the dark to let the sun sear at shadows.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event and at the door. For more information visit www.hilopalace.com. The ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
