A free workshop on “How to Start a Business in Hawai‘i” will be held on June 5 in Waimea at Kanu o ka ‘Āina administrative offices, 64‐1043 Hi‘iaka St.

Registration starts at 4:30 p.m., with the workshop scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Participants will learn about entrepreneurship, forms of business organization and sources of capital.

Attendees will also learn about key ingredients for business success and steps involved in starting a business.

The workshop is sponsored by the Hawai‘i Small Business Development Center and Kanu o ka ‘Āina Learning ‘Ohana, which oversees a Hawaiian-focused, bi-lingual public charter school in Waimea serving 260 students in grades K-12.

Pre-registration is required by June 4. Early registration is recommended as space is limited.
