Leaning Utility Pole Cuts Power to 3,000 in Kona

Nearly 3,000 customers of Hawaii Electric Light Co. in the Kahalu`u area of Kona lost power briefly this morning as a result of a leaning utility pole.
HELCO spokesman Roger Keller said the outage occurred at 9:01 a.m.
A crew was dispatched to make repairs to the pole on Ali`i Drive and power was restored to all 2,950 customers by 9:22 a.m.
