Police Identify Pedestrian Killed Wednesday on Puna Highway

Police today identified a pedestrian who died early Wednesday on a Puna highway as 21-year-old Brendan Charlie of a Mountain View address.

Charlie was struck by a south-bound pickup truck on Highway 11 just north of Glenwood at around 3 a.m.

Police had asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the victim because he was not carrying any identification.
