Two Workshops Offered on How to Start a Business

The Hawai‘i Small Business Development Center will present a workshop on “How to Start a Business in Hawai‘i”on Wednesday, April 17, at the North Hawaii Education and Research Center at 45-539 Plumeria St. in Honoka’a.The workshop is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to noon

Participants will learn about entrepreneurship, forms of business organization, sources of capital, key ingredients for business success, and steps involved in starting your own business.

Additional topics to be covered include services offered by the Hawai‘i SBDC, as well as other resources for a start-up business.

This free workshop is co-sponsored with the County of Hawai’i Department of research and Development.

Pre-registration is required by April 16.

Attendees are asked to be there 15 minutes in advance for registration.

Hawaii SBDC is also offering a workshop on “How to Start a Small Business in Hawaii” on Wednesday, April 24, at Hawaii Community College. It will be held in Building 379-1 at 1175 Manono St. in Hilo.

The Hilo workshop fee is $25 and preregistration is required by April 18.
